قصة ليلي والسحب
The Story of Lily and the Clouds
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Lily. She loved to watch the clouds. One day, the clouds were upside down. The flowers were not happy because they couldn't get sunlight. Lily whispered kindly to the clouds. The clouds flipped and turned right side up. The sunshine came back. Lily learned that kindness can fix problems.
ذات مرة، كانت هناك فتاة تدعى ليلي. كانت تحب مشاهدة السحب. في أحد الأيام، كانت السحب مقلوبة رأساً على عقب. لم تكن الزهور سعيدة لأنها لم تتمكن من الحصول على ضوء الشمس. همست ليلي بلطف للسحب. انقلبت السحب وعادت إلى وضعها الصحيح. عادت أشعة الشمس. تعلمت ليلي أن اللطف يمكنه إصلاح المشاكل.

The Weather in Ancient Egypt
The ancient Egyptians lived near the Nile River. The river helped them in farming. Sometimes, they had problems like floods and sandstorms. They built their houses with mud bricks. When there was not enough rain, the land became dry. But the Egyptians were smart. They dug deep wells to get water. They survived because they were strong and worked together.
عاش قدماء المصريين بالقرب من نهر النيل. ساعدهم النهر في الزراعة. في بعض الأحيان، كانوا يواجهون مشاكل مثل الفيضانات والعواصف الرملية. بنوا منازلهم من الطوب اللبن. عندما لم يكن هناك ما يكفي من المطر، أصبحت الأرض جافة. لكن المصريين كانوا أذكياء. حفروا آباراً عميقة للحصول على الماء. بقوا على قيد الحياة لأنهم كانوا أقوياء وعملوا معاً.

زمن الماضي البسيط
Past Simple Tense
الاستخدام | Usage
نستخدم زمن الماضي البسيط عندما نتحدث عن شيء حدث وانتهى في الماضي.
We use the Past Simple tense when we talk about something that happened and finished in the past.

- نضيف d فقط إذا انتهى الفعل بـ e (مثل: live → lived)
- We add d only if the verb ends with e (e.g., live → lived)
- إذا انتهى الفعل بحرف ساكن يسبقه حرف علة، نضاعف الحرف الساكن الأخير (مثل: stop → stopped)
- If the verb ends with a consonant preceded by a vowel, we double the last consonant (e.g., stop → stopped)
- إذا انتهى الفعل بـ y يسبقه حرف ساكن، نحذف y ونضيف ied (مثل: study → studied)
- If the verb ends with y preceded by a consonant, we remove y and add ied (e.g., study → studied)

نستخدم didn't متبوعاً بـ الفعل في المصدر (inf.)
We use didn't followed by the verb in infinitive form (inf.)
أنا لم ألعب كرة القدم.
لم نذهب إلى الحديقة.
السؤال | Question
نستخدم Did في بداية السؤال بـ "هل"، ونستخدم الفعل في المصدر (inf.)
We use Did at the beginning of the question meaning "هل", and we use the verb in infinitive form (inf.)
هل شاهدت التلفاز؟
Yes, I did. / No, I didn't.
